13+ Ways to Design a Linear Fireplace with TV Above for a Stunning Home

13 Ways To Design A Linear Fireplace With TV Above

Modern homes are continuously choosing linear fireplaces instead of gas. They are sleek, versatile, stunning, and will easily fit in any contemporary interior.

We love installing a linear fireplace to balance an oversized TV setup, especially because a charming traditional fireplace may look out of place in modern decor.

However, a linear fireplace lets you capture the essence of a cozy hearth without allowing all the modern elements to overpower it. It is also much easier to pair with modern aesthetics in a bright and contemporary home.

Another great thing about linear fireplaces is that they can be used indoors or outdoors. While some of the designs below show them used in a semi-outdoor space, we have decided to focus on the indoor installations.

If you are planning to incorporate a linear fireplace with a TV above it, here are some of our favorite inspirations!

1. Mix Medium Tone Wood and White Walls to Enhance Your Linear Fireplace with TV Above in a Comfy Suburban Home

For the first photo, look at this comfy suburban home and how it decorates the living room. As you can see, the linear fireplace becomes the centerpiece as its fire stands out against the white surround. Above it is a simple, black mounted TV.

The fireplace itself is vented, with the vent for the heat above the TV. This makes it safe to use a wood surround that can go well with the overall aesthetics of the space.

For the rest of the walls here, you can use Sherwin Williams Worldly Grey that is dark enough to provide a nice and cozy atmosphere but still quite bright to make the room feels spacious and not closed-off.

The coffee table with intricate legs is from Noir Furniture. You can decorate this by placing some books, an indoor plant, and other trinkets you may have.

Finally, to complement the medium-tone wood floor, place a large rug to further cozy up the room.

2. Try a Stone Wall to Hold Linear Fireplace with TV Above in a Charming Semi-Outdoor Patio

This is an example of a semi-outdoor patio where you open the space to the surrounding environment outside without sacrificing the comforts of the modern lifestyle.

As we have said, a linear fireplace can be used both indoors and outdoors, and here you can see the in-between application. The stone fireplace measures up to 14 feet high and 6 feet wide, which you can actually get from Montigo. The stone used is Lueders rough back.

Not to forget the TV mounted about the fireplace. Add to that a ceiling fan; this space can quickly become the hang-out spot for guests and family.

Meanwhile, the furniture used in this space is from Henry Hall Designs, including stylish armchairs and chic coffee tables. Set upon a Lueders Limestone flooring, you can easily create a space that feels both modern and classic.

You may be able to spot the fence outside that circles the house itself. This was done by Global Fence and used the excellent and durable Douglas Fir.

3. Symmetrical Wall with Linear Fireplace and TV Can Create a Warm and Calming Living Room

Having a symmetrical wall can be a great way to elevate the visual appeal of a room, such as this living room.

You can see how the built-in shelves flanking the mounted TV and fireplace provide a calming feeling. The natural textures of these shelves also offer a nice contrast and warmth to the grey walls.

Here, you can use the shelves to display some of your personal styles. For example, plants, contemporary decor, wall art, and even wine bottles. Feel free to personalize the space and showcase yourself.

The linear fireplace itself is a simple and modern model that fits the contemporary surrounding. Meanwhile, the brown floors also tie up space nicely. You can place some indoor plants near the window, a matching sofa, an armchair, as well as an elegant coffee table.

Not a lot of interior style is as romantic and cozy as Spanish-inspired design. For instance, this Mediterranean room feels very warm and welcoming without losing a strong sense of style.

The Montigo linear fireplace has an electric starter, which can be simpler and easier to ignite than a traditional fireplace. Its long design also complements the old and cozy vibe.

Meanwhile, you can mount a TV about the fireplace for a touch of modernity. The antique lamps hanging on both sides also offer a further element of uniqueness.

As a nod to the Spanish inspiration, the medium-tone wood flooring matches the other wood elements in this space. This includes the built-in bookshelves, ceiling beams, and sliding door frame. You can open the entire door to make it feel like a semi-outdoor space.

To tie up the look, you can have a large Moroccan rug underneath the living area. Throwing in some pillows with a fun design and coloring is also a great idea.

Nobody says that a small living room cannot be charming and breathtaking. In fact, when decorated right, you can make it feel much more spacious and personal.

This basement room is an example of how you can completely transform a place into something else, all with the right choice of colors, furniture, and design. Of course, that includes the linear fireplace and TV above!

Here, you can see a model from Spark Fireplace, whereas the stone used is ledge stone, which you can easily find in any specialty stone vendor. The flanking cabinets are painted by Plain and Fancy and use walnut as the wood top.

One trick is to incorporate a seamless component throughout the room. For instance, the wood cabinet top is an extension of the branch side tables further away in the space. These charming tables are from Madegoods and painted in Cool Grey Shagreen.

Customize the room by adding your own special touch through different wall arts, books, pillows or throw blankets, and table decor.

It is difficult to go wrong with an open concept room. It will make any home feel large and spacious while still appearing bright, clean, and overall classy.

This living room evokes a mid-century modern style with plenty of contemporary elements, such as the unique wood paneling, linear fireplace with TV above, dramatic ceiling wood beams, patterned rug, and beautiful ceiling lights.

One unique interior technique is called book matching, which is when you combine two wood surfaces to create an open-book appearance. Here, they have used rift sawn white oak to do this on the wall panels. They are also veneered on plywood.

In addition, having white walls is a good choice in this case as it provides an open feeling and a clean canvas for all the other colors and elements. As such, you avoid making the room seem cramped and messy.

On this side, you can place some decorative tables and lamps to jazz up space. There is also a natural rock structure that looks like it can serve as both a small coffee table and extra seating.

Note how the entirety of this living room uses a black and white color scheme. It is an obvious choice for such a modern home and allows you to experiment with different features, shapes, and textures, which the simple colors will enhance even more.

The large TV is recessed into the panel and surrounded by ebony veneer stone. This helps integrate a modern electronic with the more traditional look of the stone wall. Meanwhile, the linear fireplace itself features Lagos blue stone.

You can even see a small bar and wine-tasting area on the left side of this room. Complete with beige bar stools, a glass table, and a temperature-controlled wine rack, this can be a perfect addition for when you want to invite guests over.

The bed itself is clad in soft white bedsheets with grey-accented pillows and a light grey blanket. This soft and warm tone matches the light ambiance of the bedroom, from the beige walls to light-toned wood windowsills. They also balance the heavier elements of the stone wall.

As a finishing or personalized touch, you can hang a painting, piece of art, or photograph on the wall. The designer here has chosen an abstract painting with a calming color palette to go with the rest of the room, but you can feel free to have anything that you like!

This country-style living room is inspired by cottage aesthetics to create a luxurious yet modest space. It features antique heavy-brushed and smoked oak flooring, which is a dark tone that really sets the comfy mood of the room.

The linear fireplace is a simple yet brilliant addition, while the TV above is recessed into the wall panel. Instead of a conventional sofa or couch, you can use these reclining armchairs that can be very comfortable to watch from!
